Come celebrate one of our most famous residents! Our hotel is close to the Charles M. Schulz Museum, a gathering space and museum dedicated to the study of the creator of Peanuts and its famous stars, Charlie Brown and Snoopy. Schulz called Santa Rosa home for thirty years and today, many of the events in Santa Rosa are named in his honor. This museum tells his story, the story of his comics, and continues to study their legacy and history at a dedicated Research Center.
The Museum has a theater, which shows movies about Charles M. Schulz. And of course it also shows the many Peanuts specials. To see what’s on at the theater right now, check out the theater schedule.
Young fans and adult aficionados will find lots to enjoy in this exclusive collection and exhibitions. The permanent exhibits on display include a recreation of Charles M. Schulz’s studio, as well as Peanuts-themed contributions by other artists. Some of the permanent art installations at the museum includea work by renowned environmental artist, Christo and Jean-Claude, and a Snoopy labyrinth. Admire the enormous Peanuts mural made of Peanuts comics and another large wood sculpture, both by Yoshiteru Otani.
If you’re looking for things to do on your trip through Santa Rosa, make sure you plan a visit to this informative and entertaining museum! The Charles M. Schulz Museum is just 3.5 miles from our hotel, in the heart of the city and just north of downtown.
